The foundation for the success of our program at Camp Kodiak is the quality of our staff.
Each of our cabins has 9 campers with three counsellors per cabin. At least one of these counsellors is a trained professional person - a teacher, a social worker, a child & youth care worker or an individual from a related, child-focused field. The other two are university or college students or recent graduates.
Every year, a high percentage of our staff return to us, and this continuity is an important factor in running camp. We are fortunate to have so many dedicated and caring people as part of our Camp Kodiak family.
To be a successful Kodiak staff member, staff must demonstrate essential skills including a desire to work with our population of campers and the ability to provide support to them through a busy day of activities.
"I am hooked! Camp Kodiak is stuck with me đŸ™‚ - I never in my wildest dreams thought I would leave in August with a new perspective on life and being a better version of myself. Because of that I am forever grateful to everyone who made it such a wonderful experience."Kodiak Staff Member
