Another amazing summer at camp has ended and we are facing another chilly Canadian winter before we get back to our home away from home again next year. But before we forget about the summer that has just passed, I wanted to take a few minutes and share some of the messages that families passed along at the end of the summer. Looking back and reading through these testimonials really makes me feel like all of our hard work as a staff team has paid off again. It makes me proud to be a member of the Kodiak staff team and the Kodiak family.
Camp Kodiak is a highly organized, professional camp. The counsellors are so perceptive, and skilled with managing children like mine with ADHD behaviours. I can not rave sufficiently about the staff, counsellor and activities. My son has rarely been so welcomed and integrated into a large group of children as he was this summer while at Camp Kodiak. He loved the whole experience so much that still wakes each day, looks at the clock and works out what he would be doing if camp were not over! I would not hesitate to recommend Camp Kodiak… not for a second!
Our son had an amazing summer and immediately said he wants to return next year for seven weeks again. His confidence and self esteem is through the roof. His councillors Conner, Kyle and Jakub made a serious and positive impression on him as did Geoff. Thank you for a fabulous summer team Kodiak.
Another excellent time at camp. I don’t know how you do it; he gets away from electronics and has a great time! We are SO happy for him to make friends, do so many new activities and be successful!
My daughter had an incredible summer and is already counting down the days until next year. Your staff is outstanding, and well trained in how to deal with any behaviours and anxieties that come up. Thank you for another terrific experience for my daughter. I’m so happy she has found a place that she considers her home away from home, and the friendships she made this year have made her so happy and confident.
This was my daughters second year at camp Kodiak. She came home telling me she already missed camp and wanted to make a countdown calendar for next summer, when she plans on staying for the whole summer. She had amazing counsellors who learned how to anticipate her needs, and alleviate her anxieties. Socially, she made so many friends this year. The counsellors really helped to facilitate social interactions last year, and this year she had no issues making friends and being social. She gained so much confidence and maturity this year, and I have seen a change in her since she has been home. Thank you Camp Kodiak for providing a safe and happy summer home for my daughter! Both of us were thrilled with her experience both last summer and this one!
